What part of Mt. Lebanon are you moving to? I used to live over in Virginia Manor and also on the other side of Bower Hill from Jefferson Elementary.

I guess Murrsyville would be for a suburb. If I had to pick a city neighborhood it would be Shadyside or Squirrell Hill. Or Mt. Lebanon if you include that.

It's got some kind of weird New England type vibe if that's what your looking for. Great schools.

What does a New England type vibe feel like? *smile*

I grew up in Sewickley, in fact I'm typing this in Sewickley right now (I don't go back to college until tomorrow). There's a ton of old money here. So many kids are driving daddy's new BMWs and Benzes it's insane. It's got a walkable town center, snooty private school and pretentious country club with huge housing estates to complete the feel of living in some sort of upscale suburb of Boston.

Mt Lebanon. You have to love its brick homes, brick roads, slate roofs, and tree lined streets and the safety of its neighborhoods. It's close to downtown but no TOO close. T-access runs through town and the uptown area is charming and clean with plenty of dinning and shopping options. There's plenty of parks and great schools. Did I miss anything?

I would agree with that description. My mom was a visiting nurse for the hospital there, did home visits to some of those estates. She did say the people who lived in those places were very nice.

It is also a growing area but isn't growing at the pace of Cranberry or Peter's which is too fast for my taste.

I have to agree here. Of course I live in Murrysville. I *love* it. And I have to again concur about the schools. We love, love, love it here and are very happy. If you decide on Murrysville and need any advice, etc., feel free to ask me any questions!
