Um, no. Just that you hang around the forum of the city you left 40 years ago looking for reasons to fight with people. You're so sensitive. You are always sure everyone is picking on you. However, I read certain topics and practically count down to your appearance. i pretty much know what you're going to say before you do it. It's sad really. Pathetic even. Don't you have anything better to do with your time? It seems like you don't have much of a life. Sorry for you. Truly.

And you'll run crying to the mods in 3-2-1, because your waddle fee-fees are hurts. Poor widdle baybee.

Harsh .. but ....well ... when I saw this topic posted I'd have bet Kat made first page

Boulder is a lovely, cool, fun old town though. I think I could occupy my life there quite easily. Great access to mountains, skiing. Great weather and scenery. The local breweries are better in Pittsburgh though. And so is the CMU CS School. And I suspect the restaurants. And music scene. And the beautiful old neighborhoods ... and ...

it's all fun with Kat ghosting around

So much anger on this forum anymore from all sides. It's made me so depressed. Most of the "good" regulars have left, and those of us who remain just beat each other up and/or bully one another. It's sad.

I haven't insulted anyone.
Wow, DR Charisb, an educated yinzer, who'd a thunk it?

I was thinking about the evolution of these boards.

Back about 3-4 years ago, it was about promise. People were weathering the housing crisis storm (caused by thousands - affecting millions) while here in Pittsburgh, it may not have registered as more than a blip on the radar. Here, there was planning - stadiums, a T tunnel, a casino, new housing starting to transform neighborhoods that were decrepit....there was a sense of excitement, and almost everyone was one of those "cheerleaders".

Well, if you remember Pittsburgh for all decades of your life as stagnant, drab, broken, cracked, rusted, gray...you get the idea, you couldn't blame anyone for bright-eyed optimism and joy.

Fast forward - I might be wrong, but I think a majority of posts are by real estate agents, developers, investors, speculators. Their involvement here is not what is good for Pittsburgh for the sake of the home we love and the common good, but for the sake of making money. Of course, that is capitalism - and we all benefit from it, but it's apparent that the posts, themes, and attitudes now come "from a different place" than just a few years ago.

That, and the political correctness and that passion for "our way or you're a racist/neocon/etc." have at times soured the spirit of educational, polite, informative discourse here.

But c'est la vie. This is still the only internet forum I find valuable and enjoyable!

And to think, I will still never see Hopes topless in the Jeep! (an old thread a couple may remember).

i honestly suspect you are. I'm a computer scientist from the school of 'buy high/sell low' type investment. SCR drives a lot, charisb is a scarey shrink, etc. I forget what others do, but I don't think they're on here trying to make money. There's easier ways to do that

Welcome to the internet, lady. Forums are all about analyzing people and situations without all of the information. I refer you again to the title of this thread. Have you provided any relevant information or just made the entire thread about yourself?
And gee, you don't seem like a resentful person at all...

I'm here because actual life doesn't prove enough straight lines.

Anyway, unless you count owning the house you live in as investment and speculation, I also doubt that most people here are involved in real estate.

(To be clear, I'm not saying you shouldn't count owning your own house as "investment", but I don't think that's what szug-bot was getting at.)
