Ranked 19th in the country, puts the town's needle pretty far to the left.

Over the weekend at the bar, a girl stopped my friend and I to talk about voting for Bernie over Hillary.

Hey no fair they ranked Minneapolis and St. Paul as separate cities and this lowered Pittsburgh's ranking.

Bernie is similar to Ron Paul, he's too radical for the big money people to support, so he has no chance.

Bernie Sanders to fight for campaign finance reform | TheHill

From the article.

Quote:
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) said he will introduce legislation to provide public funding for elections, saying the current campaign finance system “amounts to legalized bribery.”
I have to agree with Bernie on this one.

Hillary has more problems than qualification or accomplishments. Bush is no better. Unfortunately, we'll be stuck with either another Clinton, or Bush yet again.

I am frankly scared that Walker might have a chance.

The accompanying article, the "20 most conservative cities in USA" includes Mesa and Phoenix as well as Ft. Worth and Arlington TX. I guess their rules allowed cities that are close to each other to be counted individually.

Pittsburgh has always traditionally been cool with difference in opinion as far as presidential politics. I wouldn't worry about it, even from those who might disagree with Mr. Sanders and intend to vote for someone else.

However, its a different story when you are talking about constable or township commissioner races. Your local elections I think sometimes are taken more personably.

If we're the 19th-Most Liberal City in the United States, then the rest of the country must be pretty right-wing politically. Look at the Facebook comment threads for KDKA, WPXI, WTAE, the Post-Gazette, and the Tribune-Review, for starters. "DERP! BIKE LANES ARE STUPID! DERP! IT'S ADAM AND EVE; NOT ADAM AND STEVE! DERP! ALL BLACK MALES ARE CRIMINALS! DERP!" I feel like banging my head against a brick wall when debating against these supposedly "liberal" Pittsburghers. Supposedly ~40% of city residents possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, yet I find myself correcting misspellings on those comment threads incessantly.

The Pittsburgh viewing area encompasses much more than the city of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County.
