Has anyone heard anything more on the state of the Kaufmann's project? I know COVID has delayed nearly everything, but even prior to COVID, this got quiet again after December. This article seemed to state that the building was expected to be in Fontainebleau's hands shortly after the new year. The county's real estate website doesn't seem to log any ownership changes either.

They should just build a Target and a Sheetz on the old Civic Arena eyesore lot and call it a day. Would get tons of use that way. Hell, make it a Super Target and a mega Sheetz. Plus a parking garage to appease everyone

no - it would just become crappy. i know you were probably being sarcastic, though.

what if they put something there akin to that very nice, beautifully re-done Northway Mall? with a view of downtown, and on Penguins game nights, that place could become a great gathering place for steaks, drinks....

i fantasize about rebellion against city government.

and it would be all about serving the middle class, and getting them to move here and stay here.

it would not go far, though, for so many reasons i wont state.

that stinks - i thought that was an exciting project that would create a vitality on the recently paved Smithfield Street. well, that was - what? - maybe four years ago now?

how does this happen? but i havent seen the story, so maybe that has been answered.
