No player could sustain what he did when he first got here over an entire season. He’s one of the main reasons the defense turned it around and became so good.

Ha, ha, ha! So the sour grapes Dolphins news outlet is showing some alarming fake news story about an ex-Dolphin. Thanks for the laugh. Always welcome.

He made a big difference for sure, but again he didn’t do too much the last seven games, where the Steelers were in the playoff picture and fell apart. He was invisible at the end when it counted.

It may be fake news, but ESPN is reporting it as well. So I guess they are full of it too.

He didn’t do as much because teams quit throwing his way.

It’s not fake news. He said earlier in the season while he was with the Stillers he wanted to be able to move around.

Well if he is capable of more than this is on the coaching staff is it not? Him being ineffective because teams stopped throwing his way is just an excuse. Does he have the ability to do more or is he what he is and teams figured him out in the first seven games.? That’s where I have a problem with sending a first round pick for the guy. The first seven games it looked like a great trade. The last seven not so much. The time when the Steelers needed plays from him the most he was invisible. That’s either the coaches fault or not. Maybe he can’t do all of this things like he thinks he can.

Great players find ways to make plays when it counts. Either he can’t or the coaches were totally aloof on his other abilities. And if he can’t and the last seven games are the Fitzpatrick going forward it was a horrible trade.

GG said it was fake news. I was just mocking him a bit because espn reported it as well.

He can only be in so many places at once. A perfect example is Richard Sherman. He’s a great player and qb’s simply don’t throw his way because they know if they do he’s going to make a play almost every time.

When did teams throw his way where he didn’t make plays?

He has no idea about the NFL.

IF the Steelers gave up a first round pick for a guy to just play center field and the last seven games are a taste of the rest of his career here that is a bad trade, period.

If he is a great defender they will design plays for him to blitz or make other plays at the line or put him in another position. He can’t be everywhere at once, but giving up a first round pick for a guy that just can only play center field and when qbs don’t throw his way he’s invisible is a lousy excuse. They could’ve drafted a guy in a later round with quick feet, good hands and defensive smarts to just play center field. Again when they needed plays from him and to step up he wasn’t there.

Great players find ways to make plays period. Either the coaches don’t see that or he doesn’t have the ability he thinks he has.

I’m seeing him as a Darren Perry and not Carnell Lake. And I’m not mentioning Troy who is in a class alone by himself

He came in during the season. They put him where he could make the most plays. He made huge plays and the defense instantly became better. Teams adjust and quit throwing towards these players.

If they use him to blitz and make plays at the line and gets blocked, who in the secondary is going to make up for his absence in the secondary?

Who says he can only play center field?

If they could draft a guy with “quick feet, good hands, and defensive smarts”, why didn’t they do it before?

Again, what plays didn’t he make?

Great players make plays, and when given the opportunity, he’s made them.

Yes, they picked it up for hype. What else are they going to talk about? Fake gets shared around.

Why do you think it’s fake/hype, especially when Fitzpatrick talked about the exact same thing earlier in the season and when he was with the Dolphins?
