I hesitated to start a new thread, but Ben is hoping to be able to throw a tennis ball? I don't have a very good feeling about this. If he was in his 20's or early 30's I would have more hope. Wow.

What’s the problem with throwing tennis balls and light objects? That’s protocol for an injury like this no matter if he’s 20 or 40.

Yeah I'm more worried about the rest of the team, or lack of. Pitchers subject themselves to way more force and often come back from major surgery without issue even at an older age.

Really? Seems like such a difficult road and we are in Feb already. Hope you are right. If Ben is back and we are healthy, we could do quite well this coming season. I expect a Super Bowl if everyone is healthy. We are due for one as there are too many teams close to us. We are still on top without an * next to our Super Bowls, so New England doesn't really count.

Not so sure myself. We did do ok this year considering but even with Ben I am not sure we have the offense to take advantage of what he has left. I just don't think our running game is going to scare anyone enough to not hedge the pass.

Last report was he’s ahead of schedule.

If you’re not counting New England, who are the “many teams close to us” other than SF?

They’re certainly a playoff team with him back but definitely not a SB team with him back.

Bens progress is right on track if he is tossing tennis balls. Steelers should have a strong season in 2020

I'm hoping for a good season, the window with Ben at the helm is closing. Time to win now, something the Pirates will never do.

Rooney has already said they’re not bringing in a backup qb, so they’re certainly counting on Ben to be ready.

Can the Steelers keep this guy happy? I think it’s. an alarming article. I still am not sure if it was a good trade. The last seven games were a disappearing act.
