It’s okay to admit it’s real, and it’s okay to admit there’s a major crime problem. Once it’s brought to light, the easier it is to get folks to get involved and help with it. That’s what community outreach, mayors, governors, police, etc..., are for. Ignoring it doesn’t do anyone any good.

Stop direct messaging me you weirdo, I don't really care about what you have to say about the PG or anything because it doesn't matter, but believing that posting online is activism or getting involved is funny if nothing else.

You messaged me back. Didn’t see a reason to clutter up the board and was just explaining that bringing the problem into the open is the best way to handle it.

It’s better than burying ones head into the sand and denying the problem. It’s the only way to try to fix it.

Is there a Pittsburgh media outlet that you believe posts the truth? I’d be interested in checking it out.

Well thanks for fixing the violence problem in Pittsburgh, what would they have done without you. You deserve an award for your brave posting. Speaking the truth whenever nobody else will, you're a real Rachel Maddow lmao.

It takes more than one person, but bringing it to attention gives everyone the opportunity to do something about it.

Again, excellent deflection, but isn’t Maddow is a lib?

Are you saying there isn’t a Pittsburgh media outlet that doesn’t post fake news?

Again, excellent deflection, but Maddow is a lib. So in other words, there isn’t a Pittsburgh media outlet that doesn’t post fake news?
I'm really stupid maybe you can explain this to me in simpler terms because I can't even understand what you're asking. Is Maddow fake news because she's a corporate dem, is Pittsburgh news fake because its liberal, is real news only conservative? Maybe the question we should be asking is not if news is fake, but is reality news? Idk maybe you have the answers because you have all the wisdom of a sage old wizard. Maybe we could all learn something from the wonderful wizarding world of Harry Potter.

It would probably be a net savings, even. Cops in places like Etna and Aspinwall spend most of their time doing exactly that already.
How is money going to be saved? Are these traffic-only cops going to be paid minimum wage or something?

That’s obvious, and I’ve explained it in the simplest terms possible, lol.

What you don’t want to accept is that the stats don’t lie, and the media outlets get them from police reports, Spotshotter, coroners office, hospitals, etc... Its okay to accept something that isn’t popular so something can be done to make it more popular. Pittsburgh crime is skyrocketing and it needs addressed.

If you read my prior post, I said that you wouldn’t need to hire as many specialized traffic enforcement officers to compensate for the loss of the regular police force. Again, very simple hypothetical example, take a 100-person traditional police force, reduce by 50, add 25 traffic enforcement officers. Even if you pay them the same money, you have a net savings of 25 police officer salaries. Obviously, defunding would cover far more areas than just traffic enforcement.

You're just throwing out random numbers here, with no analysis of how it will work out in real life.
