^^^ You're right. McDonald's isn't better it's just not tasteless. Someone said the Primantis in the burbs couldn't compare because they're commercialized. McDonald's came to mind because they're commercialized and a Big Mac and fries here will taste the same at any other McDonald's anywhere. Poor excuse for Primantis not being consistent.

Primantis is the best - anyone who thinks otherwise should be arrested.

I haven't lived in Pgh for 20 years, and haven't visited for 5, but the only couple times I went to the one in the Strip, I was like, "Is this all there is? What's all the hype about?" Very, very overrated imho. Now dirty O, on the other hand, well, that's nirvana.

Agreed! Primanti's is a bunch of hype. The O is where I take visitors, and most who have been to both much prefer the O.

Pramantis is just like a philly cheese steak in that it is something original, bad for you, and to be eaten when drunk.

It isn't a high class meal for yuppie tourist.

Primanti cheese steak sandwich is the one thing I will miss when I move out of state. It's shameful that Pittsburghers are dissing this place

It's a sad day when our own people are dissing Primanti's.

Is it the best tasting sandwich in the world? No. Is it the healthiest? No. Has it been around forever and is it perfectly Pittsburgh? Hells Yeah.

And there's only one Primanti's. It's on 18th St (after Saturday July 19th - Primanti's Way) in the Strip District. You can call the ones in Greensburg, Monroeville, Wexford, etc. Boston Market's or Burger Chefs... they're not Primanti's. The family no longer owns the business and the guy that does wants to throw em up on any corner he can find.

Strip has the same bread it's always been, same meat, same chefs, same everything.

Capp and Cheese with an egg!
