I certainly would. Mt Lebo I would give a pass, but Butler? That's a whole different county and different kind of folk.

I think if where you lived in Pittsburgh was close enough to get the Pittsburgh TV channels, you are a Pittsburgher! Just like now, I get the Raleigh stations so when someone from out of state asks me where I live, I say near Raleigh, even though it is an hour away. Am I a Raleighan??

So, I used to live in Erie. When I was young and there was no cable tv in the area, we could pick up stations from all over the province of Ontario. I supposed with you twisted theory I should have considered myself a Canadian.

I have lived a lot of places. I am a Madisonian/cheesehead.

I have lived in Pittsburgh for about 4 years and I can honestly say if or when I move from here I will be a staunch supporter of Pittsburgh. I live well within the city limits.

I know Pittsburgh enough to know I am not a "Pittsburgher" I do know I (and family) will be proud to say I (we) lived here.

That's what it is to me. I love having this debate, even though it's pretty trivial.

The one point I love to make is that we travel a lot throughout the north eastern US and Canada, and we always seem to run in to others "from Pittsburgh". The locations that people actually live in when questioned are pretty laughable considering they consider themselves "from Pittsburgh".
