??????????

It is a buisness and the notion of Islam does not really project the happy, fun loving imaging of Disney. When one sees a head cover, one thinks of car bombings, terrorism, and oppression- not necessarily the image Disney wants to project.

I guess they should not hire anymore Muslims.

Cast members sign big contracts for the privilege to work at Disney.
You can't change your contract! You can go find another job.

They DO? ROFL. There's a Muslim woman in my office who wears a head scarf. When I see her, I think "uh-oh, Auditor."

You are probably the exception but most of the people have that image about the muslims! And usually they have good motives to have it!

She has worked there for ovber 2 years and now she wants to change her employment contract.

Well, it doesn't work like that in a privately owned business. Go work for the government!

I suggest some people review the history of this employee and Disney. When she was hired she was not practicing her religion openly and did not wear a head covering. Since deciding to wear one she has been offered positions that would allow her to follow her religious beliefs which do not violate cast member dress codes.

Evidently the young woman is more interested in gaining control of the Disney experience as opposed to being given equal employment opportunities.

Of all the would-be immigrants, throughout the world you can find people who want to come to the USA, why on earth are we bringing in so many who despise us and our culture?

What's going to be funny is when the Muslims decide they're entitled to every job, including the local strip clubs and nudie bars and believe they must be allowed to wear their burkas.

Well - at least the Miss Muslim USA doesn't wear a burka.

There are dress codes and if she can't abide by them, even after Disney went out of their way to accomodate, then she should quit.

Same thing happened at one of those mall stores I believe for the teens. They put her working in the back because she didn't want to dress the "image" in the front. She sued for discrimination as well.

Why do these places hire them to begin with if they insist on wearing the burkas ?
Do they go on the interview without them and then show up on the first day with them ?
If they let the Muslims get by with everything, then what happens when some Nazi wants to wear a swastica or some KKK insists on wearing hoods and white sheets to work? Or someone comes from a culture where they just wear loin cloths and doesn't want to adapt to our cultural ways? They'll have to let them.
