SS is not an entitlement, every worker pays into it!

Maybe these people shouldn't have so many kids if they cannot afford to take care of them! Why should we have to keep paying for others mistakes!
Yeah, the real 'R's are pushing back against the folks in the TEA party who are serious about making cuts across the board. They are rolling out the victim card again:
"Although the op-ed, written by FPI's Bill Kristol, AEI's Arthur C. Brooks and Heritage's Edward Fuelner, sets up the Obama administration as its foil, the real purpose to nudge Tea Party conservatives back into line on defense spending, according to a Republican strategist who is working on the program."
They are consistently BAD - but the sheeple keep following...
By entitlement programs, did you mean Medicare?
Democrats have controlled Congress for almost four years and all of the federal government for nearly two. You've had carte blanc all that time, so what's your excuse?
Repub agenda never changes - cut entitlement programs, fund wars and give more to the wealthy
Actually the latest contemporary Republicans haven't funded wars, although this hasn't stopped them from waging them.
The current notion on funding wars for Republicans means borrowing the money from babies not yet born with interest, then have have someone else fight them since their bum knee prevents them from engaging in what they support out of their mouth. Let the future pay our bills, its all about ME damn it.
(enter the rationalization parade)
On the bright side, it is the one thing the right and left in this country have in common, they love to spend the publics money.

Me thinks you missed my point... My post only highlighted the very meager portion social services draw from the US government coffers. Check out this site:
http://www.census.gov/compendia/statab/cats/federal_govt_finances_employment/federal_budget--receipts_outlays_and_debt.html
The largest expenditures by the federal government are as follows:
commerce and housing credit = 758 billion
national defense = 690.3 billion
social security = 680.5 billion
medicare = 430.8 billion
health care = 353.4 billion
Add these up and you get 2,913 billion dollars, 72% of the whole governmental budget. How can we trim these to facilitate lower taxes? What are we supposed to cut????
