Our Constitution doesn't empower the federal government to be an all knowing benefactor. It has no accountability and squanders most of what it takes in through inefficiency and corruption.

The church and countless other charities that do it much better and give taxpayers the freedom of choice.
And they can be held accountable.

Well, whichever method you choose I am in favor of charity being compulsive when people are in poverty or in danger of starving.

It is not charity when it is forced; it is theft. Show me where in the United States people are in danger of starving and there are no social safety nets to help them.

Poverty in the US comes with a cellphone, housing, foodstamps and medical care.

The Constitution doesn't empower anything. It only limits what government can do.

WE empower the government to do whatever it's doing.

And the social safety net is funded how? That's right...via compulsory taxation! In other words, it's a compulsory charity!

Without it, there would be no social safety net.

Yep, Obama is a real piece of work I think Obama's paycheck is not his own, he needs to give it away. Let him eat his own words.

I'm in favor of that too but all too often we read of abuse of the system..all for monetary gain.

I say get rid of the $$$ aspect and open the doors to some soup kitchens and food pantries.
People are hungry..go get some food.

Get rid of the monetary aspect of it because $$$$ leads to abuse of the program.

My points, Obama is a corporate puppets, not a socialist as some claimed. Look at all the things he have done, he did it for corporations. If he is a socialist as some have claimed, the wealth distribution is across the board, which didn't happen. Only the loss is socialized, profit is privatized.
Socialism never spreads wealth across the board. Never.

It takes from the middle calss and gives to the rich. Exactly what Obama is doing.

He is also merging corparations with government. Slowly but surely.
