Here's a story about another gathering of the Republican uber-rich. That in itself is not remarkable as the Koch's have been funding these things for years.

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/10/20/us...koch.html?_r=1

What's interesting is this from page 2 of the article:

"...And he notes that previous guests have included Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas of the Supreme Court, Gov. Haley Barbour and Gov. Bobby Jindal, Senators Jim DeMint and Tom Coburn, and Representatives Mike Pence, Tom Price and Paul D. Ryan..."

Why are Supreme Court justices involved in planning sessions for either political party? What business do they have involving themselves in partisan politics?

Well can't be very secretive if the NYT is printing about it eh ?

I can't be very sympathetic to either party here. The Dems give Soros a free pass but cry about Koch.
The Repubs give Koch a free pass and cry about Soros.

Don't cry about the other party until you have your own house in order.

I really think it is time to start "Impeach So & So" pages on Facebook.

This is crazy. The idea that judges would appear so partisan.

Do you think this is something new, just happening today ?

Which Supreme Court Justices attend Soros meetings?

Maybe not, but did Facebook exist back then?

We need to use the tools we have in our toolbox now -- and not worry about whatever tools they had years ago.

I've been looking for evidence that the Democrats have had Supreme Court Justices in attendance at their planning sessions, but can't find any.

Can you?

The planning sessions? No, they've done it about every year or so and the public and media are always excluded. They don't want the little people involved in it or even for us know what's going on.

As for Supreme Court Justices being involved? I've never heard of that before, have you?

Not in this current administration. Both Obama and the Dems in Congress are very much upset with the Supreme Court.

I've always felt that Supreme Court Judges were nonpartisan because they are the highest court in the land and no one can overrule them.

It pains me to think that their opinions are tainted by their outside activities.

I understand that Supreme Court Judges can be impeached and I believe that it's called for when they are not impartial justices.
