Don't settle. If the same tired old faces are presented to you in polls/surveys, pick OTHER. My inclination is, if Bill Kristol or Fred Barnes favors a particular candidate, or some old retired Republican comes out of the woodwork to bless some candidate, run away. They are an inside the beltway part of the machine and don't have our best interests at heart.
Why are you blaming it on the "media"? The GOP don't have anybody. In fact I'd argue their options are worse now than they were two years ago. Your top polling candidate is Palin who can't beat Obama and is loathed by the GOP old boy's club. Romney, who actually could beat Obama if everything lined up well, won't get the nod because the GOP hate him and he's Mormon.

The party has allowed the talking heads to take over, but the end result is what? No real leaders. Your current "leaders" are Beck, Hannity, Rush etc. Palin is an off shoot of that, and she's what you wanted, but she's no winner. The Republicans have pretty much painted themselves in to a corner with her. They know it now, but very few people are willing to express this publicly. It's going to be fun watching the GOP primaries. Rove and his gang will know that they won't stand a chance with Palin, so they are going to have to find a way to take her down. Should be awesome to watch.

Either way they won't have anybody capable of winning in 2012 which is amazing to me. That's what happens when your leaders are....Beck.

They have their reasoning. Ask them why they pushed Obama down on throats so strongly.

Why did they (the TV media) focus on Obama?

He was new, interesting and exciting. Lots to find out about. Good TV
The Repubs had the same old/same old. Nothing new. Bad TV

The White House is theirs for the taking come 2012 based on Obama's sinking popularity and his inability to get out of the way and let the economy heal itself, so the Republicans are definitely in the driver's seat.

Default Why Is The Media Pushing the Same Old Republicans on Us For 2012?

Why, of course!

The liberal media controls the inner mechanisms of the GOP.
