The "anti pat down" hysteria is all unfounded and ridiculous nonsense.....just walk through the effing body scanner and there is NO pat down!!

Why must you people make everything an issue?

The high levels of radiation are especially warned against for those with joint replacements and heart conditions as well as cancer survivors. Perhaps being over exposed to radiation is no big deal for you; however, it is not exactly harmless. Do you usually ridicule those who are consumers wary of the health related issued related to a product they may purchase? Why did the TSA refuse the image distorting software in favor of the porn version for these scanners?

If our Congress and governmental agencies actually cared about public safety in regard to terrorism we would have had our borders under control half a decade ago. We do not and they do not. This is about pushing the envelope to see how much government control can be pushed upon Americans before it is the last straw to break this camel's back.

Nothing to look at here folks.......don't notice that Obama already pulled the National Guardsmen off the Southern border from his little pre-election cycle stunt. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

Nice job, if one can get it.

Do they ask the age?

Just heard a parent today say that their 10-year old autistic child was patted down, terrified throughout because they wouldn't allow one of the parents to be with him.

Also, don't notice that thousands cross the border from Tijuana Mexico into the US without passing through a scanner or a pat-down. Pay no attention that the door to terrorists is wide open there.

Maybe Mr. Obama and family would prefer the scanner to the pat-down.
After all, it's safe.

John Pistole, Head of TSA, went through a pat-down to demonstrate no ill effects... (but did not get a body scan).

Mr. Pistole received a modified pat-down, but said he had experienced the real thing, both before he approved the procedure and as a traveler. “It is effective,” he said. “It is thorough in the way it’s designed to be, to detect those types of devices that can bring down an airplane.”

So is it something he would want his wife to undergo?

“You say, do I want?” asked Mr. Pistole, “In an ideal world, nobody would need to undergo a pat-down because our technology would be so precise and our intelligence about how we are identifying travelers so informed that nobody would need a pat-down. But that’s not the world we live in.”

I would strongly recommend that Mr. Pistole embark on a concentrated profiling training program to identify suspects. As it is, they pat down and scan randomly, often appearing to favor pc, and don't get everyone anyway.

Seriously, the average American is getting more radiation exposure from their cell phones and microwaves than from the airport scanner.

The anti-scanner/TSA hysteria is off-the-charts....and of course this is translated into Obama hate speech (as is everything with these folks). Its to the point of random, irrational anti-Obama rants.

I'd be shocked if Rush and Huckabee request and submit to pat downs before boarding any private flight they board, that would mean they actually walk the walk, not bloody likely from those two mopes
