All I've been saying is that these leaders need to watch what they say. I'll include the left - Keith Olbermann did too last night.
Remember - Sharron Angle - Second Amendment Remedies.
You've got someone off the chain who is anti government to a violent sense anyway (you guys are always screaming that liberals love government and are socialists but now the guy's a liberal?) - and the vitriol influences them. The Pima County SHERIFF said so himself, he's in law enforcement for 50 years! What more do you need?
And let's include liberal talk show host Kilbourne who couldn't have been more explicit in calling for the assassination of Bush.
No one seems to have a problem with that - that's free speech of course, can't be censored - even though he clearly wanted Bush killed.
Meh... he was what, 18-19 at the time? I didn't even understand politics at that age, so a former high school friend is hardly a credible source. Doesn't matter anyway, since he obviously has mental issues beyond "extreme liberalism."
Totally agree - I just wanted to point out where the right was getting that info. I think I was kind of conservative at that age but if "apathy" were a political party that would have been mine for the most part. Apathy leaning right. That had changed by age 22 (the shooter's age, or was he age 21)
Everyone who knew him in school knew him to be a leftist and knew he was turning radical leftist. He showed himself burning a USA flag in that one video. One of his listed books was the Communist Manifesto, he hated religion.
The liberals on here were jumping and frothing at the mouth trying to put this on Palin and Conservatives within seconds of the shootings. Just go back and look at the postings - they immediately began trying to exploit this tragedy. Never would accept the guy was most likely a paranoid schizophrenic in a psychotic break. Immediately they tried to make it political.
So what? I read the Yahoo boards right after it happened, and people were also speculating he was a Mexican immigrant who opposed her immigration views... one poster even made up a Hispanic name, and declared "Jose Hernandez" had been identified as the shooter.
Point being, people on both sides will turn anything into a political debate - yes, even your precious conservatives. You can literally post "the sky is green" on this forum, and within an hour you'll have 10+ pages of debate over who's to blame... the conservatives for brainwashing us into thinking it's green, or the liberals for being too stoned to realize it's actually blue. So don't pretend the conservatives are innocent, because this whole thread would be a mirror image if a Republican had been shot. This behavior is sad, yes, but hardly a one-sided flaw.

I don't know of that incident but if it's as you state then yes, I'd have a problem with that as well. I find it hard to believe he literally wanted Bush killed .
I also don't believe Palin literally wants these 20 people killed either, BUT, she needs to realize that words have power.

He said things that Tea Partiers have said about the government. Does this mean the Tea Party is the new radical left?
I agree with the sane people on this board. He has mental issues.
P.S. Can you blame people for thinking of Palin, considering the history there? I didn't even know all of this, so I didn't speculate anything until reading this thread... when I first heard the story, I'd never heard of this woman, nor did I know which side she represented. My only thought was "OMG, how horrible!" Then I read about all the other stuff, and it was hard not to see the irony in everything. Still doesn't mean I blame Palin, but if nothing else this should be a warning to heed.
