What a complete and utter falsehood attempted by the OP. Anwar El Sadat was murdered by khalid Islambouli, an Egyptian Lt. in the Egyptian Army. He was part of a group called Egyptian Islamic Jihad. The Egyptian precursor to Al-Quida.

Not the Muslim Brotherhood.

We should be happy for Egypt. Isn't democracy supposed to be a good thing? Isn't that what so many countries said they wanted for Iraq? Afghanistan? Why is it bad for Egypt? It's a shame that some in the media have spent so much time since 9/11 vilifying over a billion people globally because of their faith, and now they would rather stick to that diatribe than confuse their viewers and listeners by admitting it is debatable whether the Muslim Brotherhood may be good for Egypt. I'd love to see someone post a link to something other than a member of the Heritage Foundation (and that does exclude Hannity, Rush and GB.) explaining a current threat from the Muslim Brotherhood.

So far this is all I have found, still a few years old.

Counterterrorism Blog: The Muslim Brotherhood for Beginners
From the mouth of the MB's spritual leader. The 9th most influential Muslim in the world:

Quote:
Here, for example, is Qaradawi speaking about the Holocaust to the audience of his popular Al Jazeera television show on January 30, 2009:
Throughout history, Allah has imposed upon the [Jews] people who would punish them for their corruption. The last punishment was carried out by Hitler. By means of all the things he did to them—even though they exaggerated this issue—he managed to put them in their place. This was divine punishment for them. Allah willing, the next time will be at the hand of the believers.

Try dealing with facts for once.

"On Oct. 6, 1981, a conspiracy of terrorists from Egyptian Islamic Jihad, Takfir Wal
Hijra, the Muslim Brotherhood and the Islamic Group assassinated Anwar Sadat during a
military parade. The event rocked the Arab world and imperiled the Middle East peace
process -- which Sadat had advanced immeasurably by opening talks with Israel."

I wonder if Obama would support being unConstitutionally removed from office himself as he has supported in Egypt? Doubt it.

You mean the troops that GW and Rummy sent over there? It was Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton, and Bush2, who supported Mubarak. Reagan and Bush1 are the real culprits. Mubarak had committed to stepping down after two terms and didn't. Reagan and Bush1 did nothing. But the both found time and money to support the murderous Khmer Rouge in Cambodia for a dozen years. Please get your facts straight and put the blame where it belongs.

Since you don't know that you start ill informed threads like this.

Furthermore, Israel itself, is responsible for all the antagonism directed from at it from Arabs because of it's brutal, repressive treatment of Palestinians.

What Israel does do, is pretend how helpless and threatened it is so they can steal land from adjacent Nations.

And you fall for it.

Ummmm...H-E-L-L-O ????

The article clearly states that the Muslim Brotherhood was at the very ROOT of the Assassination!!

Yes, now they only support terrorism all over the world and especially against Israel.

You obviously have no CLUE what you are talking about.

Palestinians living in Israel have a much better life than those who live elsewhere. In Israel, they can practice their religion freely. They can own and operate businesses.

Palestinians living in Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon ALL are confined to live, after all these years, in refugee camps and have NO rights at all.

If you want to talk about "occupation"......Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon presently occupy more land that Palestinians claim as their own than does Israel.

Not the Muslim Brotherhood.

The attackers included four enlisted men, an army major and a lieutenant. The major and two enlisted men were killed in the swarm around the reviewing stand, once other members of the military realized what was taking place. The rest were arrested. The attackers would eventually come to be identified as Islamist nationalists associated with the Muslim Brotherhood under the name of Islamic Jihad.

Good for Egypt. They got rid of a US/Israel backed dictator.

I hope the new democratic government will give Israel hell. The people know how repressive Israel is. Let's hope that fact is reflected in their government's dealings with them.
