All I can say is thank God my child is out of school, the cuts to schools are going to be a disaster.
It will, but don't worry, Rick and his buddies will get substantial Bus tax cuts which will, as always, trickle down on the peons. Peons, now that's an appropriate name, huh?

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Taking an unusual tack to dealing with a $3.6 billion budget deficit, Florida Gov. Rick Scott unveiled a budget Monday that cuts $4 billion in property and corporate income taxes.
The budget, which the newly installed governor has said is the nation's most fiscally conservative, also cuts $4.6 billion in spending from services such as Medicaid and prisons. Public employees would also have to contribute 5% for their pension benefits, which will save $2.8 billion over two years.
Especially not those of us ALREADY IN THE JOB CREATION BUSINESS!!!!
Scott is trying really hard to fix a lot of stuff that isn't broken.
Damn you Charlie Crist for not running again. At least Charlie had been AG before and actually knew something about government. At least he put practicality and the welfare of his constituents before some slavish adherence to ideology.
Now Florida may be at the mercy of the teabaggers.

Bold, conservative move here. Along with FL refusal to implement obamacare, this move should spur economic activity.
At the sacrifice of gutting the state and public programs.
I'm sorry, but if I had the choice of "higher taxes, but good public programs" and "more money in my pocket, but crap public programs", I'd choose higher taxes every time.

Well, what needs to come before gutting any state programs is a decrease in administrative costs for the state, like the bloated public sector unions and their lavish pay, pensions and benefits.

Wow! Only 5%? Why not 10 or 20%
Attracting business by lowering the tax rate is also a good idea.
