I reject your premise as 80% of millionaires came from the middle class and many new people are becoming millionaires every day.
Reject it all you want...but that's simply the truth of the matter. You can try to reject gravity and fly, but the consequences would still come to fruition.
According to the data, that's a rarity. Plus one person a statistic does not make.
You are only one point on a normal curve, that's it. You need to look at the entirety to determine if a HS education is sufficient.
She's not that much of a rarity. I was one and know several others. You can be self educated and gain knowledge from experience and mentors often more practical for such endeavors. 'Can do' doesn't wait for anything.

So why isn't the average income for HS graduates only not higher? I mean if they aren't rarities we would expect that average income to be MUCH higher.
You mean to imply that the average person with only an HS diploma has the same assets as a person with a bachelors or higher?
On ALL measures of wealth (including income) people with an HS only are poorer. This is not earth shattering news. Congratulations if you are above that average. However, it still does not describe the trend that more education leads to better chances of obtaining a middle income lifestyle.

Schools used to teach academics and vocational if one chose that route toward the end of HS.
Now you have social promotions and all are strongly encouraged to go to college.

The best place to start is reading the tax code, IMO.
Not true. So a person with a crack addict mom in Compton that lives on less than $10,000 a year can? What about the poor Appalachian that relies on food banks? Not anyone. Most can't.
It's very simple...people follow incentives. If you found the secret for success, I guarantee you millions of others did too. However, looking at the data...there is an entirely different picture.

That's NOT entirely true. Most of it is the lack of blue collar work that only requires an HS.
Wealth is not a factor of intelligence, otherwise we would expect nuclear physicists, geneticists, and a plethora of occupations to be the top of the financial food chain. They aren't.
