The assult is going full force. It doesn't seem to matter to the American people that over the last 20 years, the only middle class group that saw any income increase(about 15%) were those in unions. The rest of the middle class lost income. However, over the same period, the upper 5% saw 33% growth. By all means, get rid of the Unions, they are cutting into the rightful gains of those that matter.

40 years of right wing ideology has convinced your average white blue collar worker that for him to succeed, another worker must fail.

It's complete and utter brainwashing.

Exactly, Unions have been demanding more and more and now people have had enough. We cant afford it. Everyone else is having to make sacrifices but unions dont think they should be included.

Hm?
The last twenty years for me have been a nice steady increase in pay. Since 1991 I have nearly quadrupled my income and I’ve picked up some nice benefits too. Of course I had to put myself through school before this increase but none the less it’s paying off nicely for me now.
Oh, all non union work.

(value in = value out) Best of luck to both union and non union employees.

Oh yea, more and more. Over 20 years, 15%, not per year, per 20 years. That is less than 1% per year. That is only the Unionized middle class that have been so excessively compensated. The other 88% of the middle class has been in a steady decline, no gains, just loss.

Oh really? and just where did you learn that?

Doing away with unions does not mean a loss of any job... (unless you're one of the blood sucking union management staff).

Times are tough. Local taxes are going higher and higher to pay for salaries and benefits for those in the public sector that few in the private sector will ever get. Of course it makes sense that there is some pushback against public sector unions or private sector unions that get no competition govt financed jobs.

Don't see how that is brainwashing.

Long Island is a perfect example of how public union excessive salary and benefits have made the area unaffordable for many. Hence the pushback.

A government unions should be abolished utterly. It should be illegal for any government entity to allow union representation.
