I don't think the gov cares whether a private company hires union or non union employees. His responsibility is to pass a balanced budget, something that is getting harder to do at least partially die to unsustainable healthcare and pension obligations to state workers.

Its NOT just WI that this is happening in. Many states are having the same problem. In NY Gov.Cuomo is even calling on changes to state worker benefits and challenging school teachers to pay a higher percentage of their health costs. In dark blue, Democrat gov NY!

Its fiscal reality 101. Too much promised due to big campaign contributions over the years, and now reality is hitting the politicians right between the eyes.

[FONT=Verdana]I’m currently a college student. My cousin has bachelors and a master’s degree. She been in school for many years and her income per year is only 36,000 per year while one of my other cousin only has a AA degree and he makes almost 100,000 per year but he works for a company and he belongs in the union of that company… this is no fear, but it’s reality. By all means, get rid of the Unions, they are cutting into the rightful gains of those that matter.

Yes, the Normandy Invasion to take back the American workplace from the union scum/swine/filth that infest it is on, and it will and should succeed. Unions are a disgrace on the America economy. Collective bargaining for one party, none for the other.

When unions strike they should strap bombs on themselves and threaten suicide if demands aren't met by a certain time. Woot, go union!
Where I live a big union contract is coming up for renewal, rumor has it the union is in for a surprise. There are too many unemployed folks around here that can fill those jobs. A bad economy is a bad thing for unions; right Barry?
