Well, suppose we are disliked in some other countries. At the very least, things even out because we tend to have opinions of people in other countries. When you get right down to it, very few people really care what others think--or are going to effect major changes because of it.

Nothing new for people to hate whoever is in power or the bully who wants to impose their believes to others. But like others have said, when it comes to other countries needing help, nobody will complain about the USA dropping by to help.

Becasuse we are ignorant buttholes and our government keeps thinking we should be the police of the world. Majority of Americans still think we are a legit republic with no ropes attached lol.

It's a complex mix of issues.

Some of our actions are right and some are wrong, just like other countries. Certainly I wasn't very happy with many european countries turning a blind eye to the bosnian genocide that WE had to step up to stop.

Additionally, many countries are corrupt dictatorships that uses whomever is convenient as a scapegoat for the woes of the people.

Syria for example has massive unemployment and corruption and it's always the fault of Israel and the US....and if those 2 countries disappeared they'd blame the turks or the iraqis and so on and so forth.

Lots of shades of grey.

How is she being chauvinistic by simply telling people the truth about where is she from? If someone from another country asks what nationality I am and I say I'm from the United States of America does that really make me chauvinistic ?
