When you have laws that favor the corporate interest you get what you just described. When you have the free market and capitalism you do not.

Not much I can do to directly stop people who are trying to manipulate the system for their profit. Laws must be enforced as well as changed to allow the free market to prosper and stop the manipulation. We saw what happened with the housing crisis when government manipulated the economy and didn't allow the free market to rule. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

Another national poll released today by CBS/New York Times shows that 57% oppose and only 37% support cutting the pay and benefits of public employees to reduce state budget deficits, and 60% oppose and only 30% favor taking away the collective bargaining rights of public workers.

Scott Walker may be trying to win a battle in Wisconsin, but the R's are losing a war because of it. The public doesn't support these efforts, both in and outside of Wisconsin. Many of you are certain the R's will take the blame if Walker doesn't compromise on the budget bill--according to these numbers, I don't think I'd be so sure.

This is the very reason that there is a Democratic Party. All that Walker accomplished was to energize the Democratic base, which is the representative of the average American working person.

Oops. More likely not representative of the average American working person...
