I see no harm in trying to investigate why so many American muslims are becoming radicalized.

Why would the dems try to block that?

Do they really think muslims vote democrat?

Quote:
More than 50 Democrats on Wednesday pleaded with House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Pete King (R-N.Y.) to cancel his panel’s hearing on radicalization within the Muslim American community.

A group of 56 lawmakers said in a letter to King that the hearing will jeopardize trust between Muslims in the U.S. and law enforcement officials, adding that “the stated narrow scope and underlying premises of these hearings unfairly stigmatizes and alienates Muslim Americans.”

I honestly think that liberals are at the root of trying to circumvent authority and order.

That's not reason enough.

Apparently the repubs didn't think it was a valid reason enough either... it didn't work so the inquisition will go on as scheduled.

I wonder how the hearing is going to stigmatize them even more?
Are they afraid of something that might be discovered during the hearing?

I'm sure Pete King agrees with you.

But certainly, you can't claim they didn't give you their reasons.

LOL...

When was that last time anything was "discovered" in a Congressional hearing?

The same reason can be given for just about anything.

Such as Arizona's sb 1070. "it will alienate the latinos"...

They're not valid reasons just excuses.

Quite simply if we are going to hold hearings on Domestic Terrorism, we should be looking into all sources of domestic terrorism.
