Tax. Tax. Tax. Say the Democrats.

Tax us more. We want more taxes .. Dammit.

Democrats are free to over pay their IRS commitment.

Why don't Democrats over pay?

Because they know that their extra contribution will just be pis*ed away once it reaches Washington.

So why are they always harping that everyone but them should be soaked more by Obama?

Democrats have to get real. They keep on whining about how Americans ( other than themselves ) should do more.

Democrats have to get off of the regular American's backs.

For all of the whining ... I never hear about Democrats over paying their taxes. And they should - because that's what they believe in.

This makes me skeptical. Democrats just want someone else to fund their heartfelt, stupid socialism. Don't like raping the Earth for fossil fuel? Don't drive.

Nannies. World Government. Dipsh*ts.

OK, let's meet in the middle. For Democrats that means tax like the very King of England that the original colonists fled from and risked their lives for ... to be unshackled ... free.

Democrats think that Government should control the people. They think that Americans should be more obligated to the Government and it's ( when Democrats are in charge ) power.

Democrats are wrong -- and we need to lower TAXES to be competitive and to create jobs.

So far, Obama and Biden look like buffoons.

I could have written this.

I could have written this word for word.

Is it healthy to have your blood boil this early in the morning?

Poor analogy the Brits had the temerity of asking the colonists to pay more for their own defense. Before they were paying next to nothing.

Whiskey Tax Rebellion. U.S. Government's and President George Washington's response. Enough said.

Except I'll add: colonists didn't come to America to escape taxes.

It was a mutiny, I tell ya!

Mutiny for the bounty.

I got me some of that bounty, but not much.

Others got lots of booty. (not that kind) (or, maybe so)

My bounty got looted as booty by the looty tunes.

Some say, lose your booty, and your head is soon to follow.

Me? I don't listen to nuthin' like that.

Some came with the same intentions as Early Grace and his woman wantin' to git off to Kalifornia.

Jist wanted to get away from the man, man.

Good Point EdwardA,

You are correct, and you know your history.

However, for example, in Boston colonists especially objected to the Tea Act for a variety of reasons, especially because they believed that it violated their right to be taxed only by their own elected representatives.
In today's world -- defense is paid for.

I'll be damned if I would support a taxpayer funded Poetry Festival For Cowboys in Nevada. Shouldn't resilient cowboys be able to fund their own poetry festival? And even provide little glittery stickers of stars and rainbows? You know; inbetween roundups and branding.

Today, the President wishes to bypass our Representatives and just tax the crap out of all of us. This is not good.

What do you mean by "The Brits had the audacity to ask the colonists if they wished to be taxed more"?

I say ask because after instituting the offending taxes the Brits removed most of them after colonial protest. Not exactly a hallmark of tyrannical rule. Yet that wasn't good enough for the middle class and wealthy rebels.

As part of the group of tax-payers whose taxes would rise, I'll go on record as a supporter of tax hikes and spending cuts. If you think those whose incomes are $200k+ are hurting, you're delusional. This is an exceptionally comfortable life, and we certainly can afford to throw a little more in the communal pot.
