Why would it matter what the color of the best candidates skin is?
Well it probably wouldn't. The GOP could throw all their weight behind a black candidate and even if he won, they would still be tarred and feathered as closet Klansmen.
Adam West is a rising star in the Republican Party.
I think it's Allen West. And yes, he does look like a winner.
Unfortunately, President Obama's very poor performance may hurt the chances of another black man being elected for some time. I hope that's not the case, and that we can judge people on ability and character, rather than race.

Yeah. After all, we gave white guys all kinds of chances. Why would Obama's performance (which is far from poor btw) screw it up for black men (or women)?
How long will it be before the dems nominate a black man?
When a black man or woman ( you left that out ) decides to run and gets into the race then ask that question. So far none have decided to run.
I like Cain, West, JC Watts etc and if any of these would run I would highly consider them.
Cain is highly intelligent and has some great ideas.
West is a rising star.
Watts has some huge potential but probably wont get involved.
Cain appears to me as a very viable candidate in 2012. Guess we will wait and see if he decided to run.
