Is anyone else tired of hearing the left talk about "fairness"? (wage, school)

well gee, if the blathering righties are going to use hollywood fantasy to defend their baseless blather i guess it must be true, eh? And they claim to dislike all that hollywood crap
Every time a leftist is in front of a camera, the first point they make about about "fairness".
Are we for equality of opportunity or outcome?
Shouldn't we all have equal opportunities? Most on the left want equal opportunities.
Shouldn't people get a fair wage? Most on the left believe that a workers should get a fair wage.
The right thinks that social Darwinism is okay. That somehow inequality of opportunity is good. The whole boots strap mentality. How many millionaires come out of the hallowed halls of Compton High School? How many come out the Bergen County Academy (named one the top high schools in the nation)? Is it fair that there is such a disparity of education? Doesn't that play a huge role (Bergen County is one of the richest counties in the nation...whereas Compton is one of the poorest cities in the nation). Clearly opportunities are different.
Since the 1970s wages of CEOs vs. employees has gone up. The ratio used to be 1:40 now it's 1:400. (1 CEO per every 400 workers). This is for top earning CEOs. That is obscene. The wages of the wealthy have skyrocketed, but basically flat-lined for the middle and fell for the poor. How is that warranted? Health insurance CEOs have seen their wages increase dramatically since premiums have skyrocketed. So what you have is things getting more expensive and wages for the middle stagnating. The rich get paid more since they see their profits rise with the rising of prices (health insurance for example). With tax cuts causing cuts to social services, the poor suffer. The middle suffers with cuts towards higher education and scholarship programs. How is that fair?
Opportunity and fair wages. There is something to be said for not wanting unbridled greed and wanting people to have a fair chance of opportunity.
Most liberals do not want to see a society where a doctor makes the same a McDonald's worker. I think that you do deserve credit for your hard work. However, moderation needs to be exercised in order for the economy and society to be sustained.
The fact is that the "left" does not want fairness. They want more. It is no different than affirmative action and so many other things. They flat out don't want fairness. if they did they would allow people to live their lives without them butting into others' lives and CONTROLING everyone.

Sorry, you're whining in the wrong thread. This one starts with the baseless allegation that EVERYTIME a leftist is before a camera it starts with 'fairness'.
