Why did he dodge the question in his press conference?

Isn't a conservative value to not lie? Why is this sinner being supported?

No he didn't.

He's been ignoring the issue for two years.

I was satisfied with the two birth announcements in Hawaiian papers uncovered by O'Riely until I saw the long-form today.

That document has some real issues like no mailing address, taking four days to record the birth and that troublesome "1" digit. And where did this thing come from? I thought the new HI Gov couldn't find it. Now that Trump goes after him, this thing suddenly appears. It may turn out to be legitimate, but we sure seem to have a lot of inconsistencies and all the name calling and mockery in the world won't make those inconsistencies go away.

Yes, in fact Obama did provide the legally-accepted documentation to be president years ago. The short-form is actually the one that is legally accepted, not the long-form.

That is why birthers are and always have been wrong. They just can't admit that they were wrong and the evidence was staring them in the face years ago. Some still can't admit they're wrong, which says more for their lack of personal responsibility and perceptions based on his race and background than about Obama or any alleged quest for the truth.

"The thing is you knew he was AMERICAN.."

That Obama is an American, has been proven to not be true, though he may be a US citizen.

Kudos to you. You really hit the nail on the head. For many the birth certificate issue was a metaphor for their unease with the alieness of Barack Obama. He comes across as more of an European socialist, one-worlder type than an American. His ideas are foreign to many. And the fact that he has produced his birth certificate will not dispel the underlying disconnect that he has with many Americans.

If nothing else, Obama can claim a victory on releasing his birth certificate. Its not on a level of JFK and the Cuban Missile Crisis, or Reagan and the Berlin Wall, but he has accomplished something, finally.

The problem is that obama is no real American. The fact that he was born in the U.S. doesn't help him with being so unAmerican as he is.

And let us not forget George Romney, his parents renounced their citizenship to practice polygamy in Mexico. George was born in Mexico and returned to the US as a child never bothering to go through any immigration policy. Question is, does his son Mitt have the birthright citizenship so many say illegals should not have

There are a lot of liberals that didn't make that claim. Funny how that gets looked over too.
