To the original poster: Arabs can't be anti-Semitic, seeing as Arabs themselves are also Semites. Hating Israel for being the modern day Nazis does not mean being anti-Jew. The Arabs don't dislike Israel because it's Jewish, they dislike Israel because it stole their land and proceeded to kill their mothers, brothers, fathers, and children.
Hey, I love Jon Stewart, and I think Israel has no right to exist. Does that make me anti-Jew?
I agree with you 100%.
But know that 'Israel First' Neo-con Jews literally hate Jews who don't support Israel. They view them as their biggest threat.
Since when does not supporting Israeli warcrimes in the illegally occupied territories and supporting a two-state solution equal "annihilation of Israel and it's people"?
Since when did the Democrats turn against Israel any more than the Republicans did? Both Dem and Repub administrations have held those positions. In fact, the last US administration that was truly neutral on the issue of Israel was that of George H.W. Bush - which threatened to cut all US aid to Israel if the settlements were not dismantled.
I watch Pat Robertson's 700 club and they only have good things to say about Jews and Israel. They even had a series called "The Jewish Jesus". Israel tourism is one of the bigger sponsors on the show.
Maybe it wasn't always this way. But at this point in time Christians are loving towards Jews and most of the anti-semitism is coming for the secular left.
Pat Robertson is one of the most vile human beings on this planet.

It is true that the word "semite" includes both Arabs and Jews. It refers to a group of different ethnicities that are indigenous to the extreme southwestern corner of the continent of Asia.
The word "anti-semitism" and "anti-semite" however relates to only hatred of the Jewish people ... it is one of those paradoxes of the English language; it does not mean hatred of Arabs, it strictly means hatred of Jews. Look it up in the dictionary. I know it doesn't make sense in the strictest sense, but vocabulary and language does have it's quirks.
As far as believing Israel has no right to exist, you are entitled to those views. You are not alone in that belief (you are certainly in agreement with organinations like Hamas and Hezbollah). Personally I think then you are for the destruction of the Jewish community in their ancient homeland and their holy and spiritual places. I do not know whether or not you are "anti-Jew" but you are disrespecting the vast majority of Jews around the world who support Israel, and the citizens of Israel ... well, you are in favor of the annihilation of their country.

is it safe to say that anti-Semitism is almost non-existanct in this century among white, Christian Americans?
..etc, etc, etc..
I realize this is more of a rant than a question, but if you feel i'm wrong, please say so....it just seems to me that in the past 50 years or so, White American society has moved from being highly anti-semitic to die-hard,obsessively in love with anything Jewish. This is a good thing by the way, i just wish that in another few years, whites will love Blacks, Latinos and Arabs just as much as they love Jews.
First, define: 'anti-semitism', please. What is it..?

Victim groups use catchy punch words interchangeably as needed to instill guilt and fear in the population.
Most white people are terrified of being labeled as anti-semitic because it could mean the end of their career. Funny how whites lack these same defense mechanisms that are so potent when used by other groups. Dare I say anti-Christian or anti-white...nobody would listen. But when someone whispers 'anti-semitic' the National Guard is called.

This doesn't automatically make you an anti-Semite (I agree that word is often totted around a bit these days).
But its unfair, and borderlines on political extremism.
I believe both groups deserve a state. Even under the 1967 borders. No one group deserves a state more than the other.
Your fringe belief certainly is becoming more and more of a minority. Most Arab countries and Muslims are at least willing to recognize Israel's existence alongside a Palestinian state. I guess you can find refuge with Hamas and Osama Bin Laden as they probably agree with your view.
Supporting other ethnic groups quest for determination except for the Jews suggests you don't think Jews have the right to determine their own destiny and future.
So.... should the future of the Jews ALWAYS be at the hands of Christians (like yourself) and Muslims?
It still exists in the Bible Belt. It is subtle but it is still there. They think Jews killed Jesus and don't have a favorable view of Jews.
This is something I never understood. If you actually read the Bible (don't they do that in the Bible Belt?) there are two distinct groups of Jews in that story.
To say "the Jews killed Jesus" requires conflating two separate classes into one monolithic group of "the Jews."
On one hand there was a religious elite which felt threatened by Jesus. On the other hand there were the Jewish people who did not feel threatened by Jesus.
The elite manipulated the people for their own benefit (gee, how long has that narrative played out in history), and sold out Jesus to save their own hides.
So I don't blame "the Jews" for anything. The blame falls entirely on a hypocritical religious elite which is what Jesus was warning us about.

Hmmmmm.
Zionist Jews from Europe gained a foothold in British Palestine by bombing soft targets and throwing hand grenades into coffee shops, buses, and bazaars. Jews introduced terrorism to the Mideast by bombing soft targets as a means to scare and intimidate. Therefore whenever I hear Jews moan and complain about the bomb throwing Palestinians, I need only remember that Jews were the ones who introduced those cowardly tactics to the region.
