You need some control over your life where nothing from the West can infiltrate it.

i believe that at least symbolically bin laden was already "dead". taking the government's word from the video that was released, it would appear that he already was a broken man.

as one observer pointed out:

Pepe Escobar, correspondent at the Asia Times says that Al-Qaeda at the moment has no capacity to ‘strike back’ or stage a 9/11 style attack anywhere in the western world and, moreover, that Al-Qaeda was defeated by the 2011 Arab revolts.

“Northern Africa to the Persian Gulf they are in the streets protesting for parliamentary democracy, for equity, for dignity, and for better treatment from the absolutely lousy elite,” he said. “For a full democratic life that they see it is possible to have in the West – but not in the Middle East under all these dictatorships that are allied with US, by the way.

Al-Qaeda was already defeated by the march of history!”

i think there is some truth to that. other countries have looked up to the US, have wanted to emigrate here, and we have been a beacon of freedom for many.

let's try hard to keep it that way.

Are we safer today than yesterday?
The question is, why does Obama want to start trouble with Pakistan, with this fabrication? Could it be to continue the spending spree, and institute all kinds of new assaults on our freedoms, under the guise of protecting us from evil? Sounds like he is inviting an attack............. or at least, poking the hornets nest.

When the U.S. president is less trustworthy than iran you know how much trouble the country is in.

If that were true you'd be right.

Unless you are prepared to join Ahmadinejab in Holocaust denial or their prosecution of people for sorcery, though, don't bother me with your nonsense.

At least Ahmanutjob is honest about what he believes. Obama either doesn't answer questions or changes answers depending on who asks him and where.

How do you know Ahmedinejad is being honest? I haven;t seen Obama changes answers depending on who asks him and where.

But this is a silly topic and a waste of effort arguing with a deather.
