Do you have a link or something that shows a real account of what happened?
At this point all we have is one guy saying he's witnessed on 5 different occasions over the last month roving gangs of black men (anywhere from 10-70 strong) terrorizing Peoria Illinois by assaulting people, fighting amongst themselves, threatening children and families in their yards, charging the front porches of any person who dares come outside, stopping traffic on a major street, threatening police officers, and chanting that all the white residents should be killed.
You think it'd be very, very, very easy to find some form of corroboration, but as of yet none exists.
Nothing happened outside of sleaze bag journalists like Drudge trying to generate traffic with hysterical claims. This further proves how illegitimate he and others like him really are
How does this prove anything about Drudge? He linked a blog story posted on the Peoria Chronicle, whatever that is.
It appears a large group of blacks were there. I know that neighborhood. The funny thing is how nothing happening became racial. How this became newsworthy is beyond me. More right-wing fearmongering
Assuming for a minute the first hand account is true, of course it's newsworthy.
First, I was wondering that if this story were true, would it be something worth discussing in this forum? I suppose it would, since it would have involved an alleged "mob". But barely worth discussing. (I kind of get a kick out of using the word "discuss" to describe any would-be post exchange on such a subject. "Conversation" might even be funnier.) But, alas, I think the forum is going to have to go on the word of Peoria's own Paul Wilkerson since he seems to be the only person who saw anything. Oh, and by the way, I saw a band of syphilitic dwarves run roughshod at the local dog pound here in Groveport, Ohio.
I frankly hope it turns out not to be true, but these types of stories keep popping up with more frequency.
