As for the poll, Obama has pretty consistently come in second to "any Republican" for months now. But when the pollster inserts the actual name of a GOP candidate, Obama always comes out ahead.

Maybe if Romney or Bachmann legally changed their names to "Any Republican", they'd stand a better chance!

uhm.... no. we cannot agree that it is a good thing for democracy if every eligible voter votes.

Stupid people should be diverted to drinking beer or playing paper football.

in 2008 blacks accounted for 12.1% of the total voting population. in 2004 it was 11.0 and in 2000 it was 11.5. so the average increase in 2008 is roughly .5% of the total vote.

in the respective years obama received 95% of the black vote, kerry 88% and gore 93%. so even at the extreme we are only looking, historically, at a difference of .35% of the overall vote.

OK, but he's losing in the other polls too.

Gallup has him losing by five points.

Maybe this will be instrumental in demonstrating which polls are more accurate.

No we can not agree on that. I hate when people repeat that like it is some sort of axiom. Uninformed people should not vote. They dilute the votes of those who actually take the time and effort to learn the issues and the candidates' positions.

In other words, Mr. President better PRAY that our debt magically begins disappearing and jobs magically materialize.

His support among blacks and Hispanics is down too.

He is only getting 85% of black voters which is historically very low.

Hispanics are almost evenly split.
