Hey Republicans... what about struggling American workers? Taxpayers have given corporations and the rich low tax rates, subsidies, their jobs, and relaxed regulations for thirty years and nothing has trickled down. During the great recession of 2008, Americans gave bailouts to Wall Street, banks, and the auto industry, but have received nothing in return except lost jobs and lost homes. This financial crisis that was caused by the bailouts was not caused by working Americans, but they are the ones paying the price. Even as corporations, Wall Street, and banks are getting huge profits, the American people are experiencing lower wages and diminished job opportunities. During all of this we see record profits for businesses and lower quality of living for Americans , Republicans are pushing for more corporate entitlements.

Trickle down is not an economic theory, just a strawman for the ignorant.

Wasn't it the Obamas that said Americans need to lower their standard of living?

Personal income taxes, especially on the poor and middle class, were dramatically reduced by the "Bush tax cuts", far more than for the rich. Reverting to the Clinton rates would raise taxes on the lowest rates by 50%. The marriage penalty was eliminated. EITC was expanded. Do a little research, somewhere a little more factual than the Daily Kos, and you'll learn something.

I do agree that TARP and the GM bailout were corporate welfare on a massive scale. Just which way did Mr. Obama and most other Democrats vote on those again?

D or R, both are beholden to their particular corporate masters.

Why should the rich continue to bilk America ? Why should the priviledged get tax breaks ? Why do they outsource their work to foreign countries instead of helping Americans ? It's time for the rest of Americans to wake up and do something about it.

You really need to raise your outsourcing issue with the Clintons. That was THEIR baby. Remember Billy boy saying that he has transformed the US economy from an industrialized economy to a service economy? That is what did that. OUTSOURCING! It also crippled the middle class. So much for the Left and Progressives for being FOR the middle class eh?
