HUNTER: This is it folks. This is it. There is nothing after 2012. [...] I don’t care if it’s a more moderate/former liberal like Ronald Reagan, who would never be elected today in my opinion. If it’s someone like him or a hardcore conservative, you gotta elect the most winnable person this time. I know it sounds bad, but Congress makes the law. You’ve got a conservative Congress. You’re one third there. [...] You gotta vote and get behind an electable person for president. I know after what I said, me saying that doesn’t go hand in hand. Obama’s going to raise a billion dollars. He’s going to hold on to this thing, the communists in this country, the community organizers in this country, are going to hang on for dear life. This is it for them. If they can change the balance of the scale of this country, they will affect it until our downfall.
Weird. Not only does Hunter call Reagan a "moderate/former liberal" (my guess is he's trying to liken Reagan to Romney), but he says Reagan "would never be elected today" but that he'd be much better than Obama -- who, of course, could get elected today, obviously. So if a "moderate/former liberal" like Reagan is the Republican nominee, Hunter says it's important for people to vote for him (even though he says such a person could never get elected) because it's important to "get behind and electable person".
I'm impressed at the amount of confused, wrong, and self-contradictory stuff Hunter is able to pack into one paragraph!

I think Reagan could still be elected today but he would be considered a moderate (RINO) with some aspects of his policies, especially immigration (amnesty part I) and his raising of the debt ceiling without cutting spending first.
Our country is in significantly greater debt, involved in many overseas wars, and another generation has grown, had children, run up personal credit card debt, bought too much house, and been tied to the government teat of dependency, since Reagan left office.
Generally I like Hunter but I think he is wrong about trying to place yet another "moderate' in office. Those moderate Republicans (RINOS) have damaged our country nearly as much as the Progressive liberals.

Barack Obama:

-Gave Drug Companies Near Monopoly Power by Barring Imports, Extending Patents and Not Allowing the Government to Negotiate Better Prices
-Funneled Billions into the Biggest Banks in the Country After They Crashed the Economy
-Stacked Deficit Commission with Fiscal Conservatives
-Lowered Taxes Significantly (Stimulus Bill)
-Ordered Increased Offshore Drilling Before BP Spill
