Yes there would from the fascist elements of the Right. Many would sigh that it's about time someone did something.

You are right.
These rioters are NOT a example of 99% of the British population.
They are scum and everyday Brits hate what they do to society.
They will be dealt with and the British public will Keep calm and carry on as they have done through two world wars, years of mainland bombing by the IRA and attacks by radical bombers and now young thugs stealing and causing destruction.
The Brits will dust themselves of and get on with the job of rebuilding.

One could make the argument that they are not acting out because they are poor, but they are poor because they act the way they do. Not all of these rioters were poor though. I'm sure many were, but not all.

And they have a well established hooligan culture that loves to fight and riot after soccer matches. When I was in Ireland, they had the same problem. Kids who binge drink and want to kick ass. Noone with any sense went out after the bars closed. So, it could be a reaction against the rigid class system, drunk out of control youth, or maybe just a criminal subculture, like the KKK. Don't know. I don't excuse them for a second, but neither do I think all or even many poor act like that in Britain or anywhere else.
Look up the quotes from these kids. To be honest, I see no oppression or other issues in this particular case. There were even middle class kids rioting. I see this as being an issue of basically ignorant and/or spoiled kids with no sense of respect for self or others. Call me simplistic, but I just don't think these kids were raised properly.

There are serious class issues in England, as in every other country in Europe with an aristocratic class. I think Europe has been so wealthy for the past couple of hundred years that there hasn't been trouble.

Anyway, what do I know?

I hope London can clean up soon. Some more pix from the Daily Mail of some of the "younger" looters: UK RIOTS 2011: How rioters as young as nine pillaged Manchester city centre | Mail Online

I agree with this. I heard a man on the radio this morning. I believe he was a black Brit in parliament. He was raised without a father with little means, and he said the same thing. What kinds of kids, of any race and class, burn homes and businesses in their own neighborhoods? Something really, really wrong with that, but I have not studied it closely. Yes, if my kid did anything remotely close to this stuff, he would be in deep @$@#!

Well, here's a quote from the daily mail article from a little chavette:

And a girl who claimed she left school at 13 said: ‘All these rich businesses for rich people are getting a bit of payback and it’s about time the ordinary poor person had a say in this country.’

Many are trying to make excuses for these hooligans..... That they are all poor welfare scroungers yet the arrests show that people with jobs are involved, kids with the latest phones and still at school.
This is a rush of blood to the head by scumbags who want to take from others. Messages from blackberry phones telling their scummy friends where to meet up for "freebies" and to "cause destruction". Watch the kids on their BMX Bikes..... awwww the poor things.
NO EXCUSES here..... they are opportunists bent on causing destruction and committing theft.

This is a matter for a separate thread, but do some research and discover that fascism is a phenomenon of "the left". No joke. I wouldn't lie to you.

Fascism is an authoritarian philosophy, and belongs on the left side of the political spectrum along with liberalism, democrats, nazism, socialism, totalitarianism, maoism, stalinism, and Susan Sarandon.

Democrats are fascists? And Hitler was a liberal.

Trolls are out in full force tonight.
