It didn't take long for Rick Perry to prove that he's a right wing kook, and a potentially dangerous one at that.

Straight out of the playbook of fascism, Perry goes out and suggest that his political targets are enemies of the state and that violence could be one way of dealing with them.

Christ, where does the right wing insanity end?
What Perry acutally said is that people wouldn't treat Bernanke very well if he came to Texas and that is was treasonous to print money. Nice try.

"Getting ugly" is an expression in the south for being rude to someone. Has no intimation of "violence". Yes, prissies will get their panties in a bunch over this. Not at all like the growing criminal class which votes in (if they vote at all) socialist leftists in order to continue getting their goodies and freebies...off the back of the working taxpayer. You definitely don't want to meet them in a dark alley. It would most likely get real ugly...

this thread again? I thought we clearly proved the thread and the linked article are lies.

There was no request for violence by Perry. Perry does not want to execute BB.

Get over it liberals, and while you are at it try mixing in some truth from time to time.

In reference to the "almost treasonous" wording - Same thing as the President accusing the Republicans of putting party over country. At one of his campaign tour stops he said that they want America to fail so that they will succeed politically.

That is just a veiled way of saying the same thing as Perry, that the Republicans are close to treasonous actions.

Perry is just more blunt and doesn't mince words.

Yes, but in the case of the Republicans, the charges are true. In the case of Ben Bernanke, they're ridiculous. Bernanke was appointed and confirmed by Republicans, so spare me the "Well you're just defending a libby" rhetoric.

Where is the quote with the call to violence? Where is the quote where he labeled Bernanke as the enemy, or where he incited people to violence, or used violent rhetoric to whip them up emotionally, or suggest they should be angry?

Was the quote something like this:

0bama "Now, I don't know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts what role race played in that, but I think it's fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry."

Or this:

0bama: “If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, ‘We’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us’ ...”

Or maybe this:

0bama: "I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face."

Or even this:

0bama: "The debt ceiling should not be something that is used as a gun against the heads of the American people"

How about like this:

0bama: "Why hold the middle class hostage in order to do something that most economists don't think make sense?"

Do you have a quote where Perry was making as inflammatory a statement about Bernanke as any of the above quotes our president made about the American people or our elected representatives? I did not even bother quoting they violent rhetoric used by the likes of Reid, Pelosi, Biden, or other elected democrats.

............... and so the attacks on Perry begin.

However, NOTHING can save Obama and re-elect him in 2012, as he has been a dismal failure. The left smear machine will get geared up, but will not be able to convince those unemployed or under employed that Obama is in thier best interest.

Good bye, Barry.

I agree with Larry Kudlow - "So in this sense, Perry's red-hot riposte at Bernanke may be shrewd politics, as well as a much-needed defense of stable money."
