Earthquakes have been going on for 4.6 billion years, many millions of years before our species came into existence but some imaginary "god" tried to punish a single human, Obama, by putting millions of others at risk? Your imaginary god, whichever one you believe in, is always ineffective at accomplishing a task.

I realize all religion is completely ridiculous but occassionally it pushes past ridiculous into an unknow realm of stupidity. This is one of those occassions.

Obama inherited the weak fault lines from the previous administration.

Of course, the people of California have quakes like that one all the time and just don't let it bother them.

A man is now saying that the difference in a 5.9 quake and a 6.0 is a whole lot of power. BTW, Fox is calling it a 5.9 not a 6.0

Because having been through several in CA including Northridge 1994 we're used to them.

But apparently they're felt through a much larger area on the east coast then out west.

I lived 3 miles from the epicenter of Northridge and had extensive damage, but relatives 20 miles away had no problems.

I'm sure this was terrifying for people who never went through this.
