Any thoughts on this movement? My city (Philadelphia ) has a solidarity protest going on now and it's getting large. Close to 1,000 people.

It's a good start. The protesters need to make their message clearer, tho. I would also like to see them focus their anger not only at wall st., corporations and the federal reserve bank, but at our government too. Government enabled wall st., corporations and the federal reserve to run over us.

Why stop there?
How about Hollywood? Pro sports?

...oh wait, that would keep Susan Sarandon and friends from participating...

When a mobster buys off a cop, the cop isn't the only one who is morally at fault, the mobster is as well. The fact is the crooks in Wall St knew full well what they were doing and they paid racket money to our supposed "regulators" and politicians to look the other way and aid in their behavior. Both parties are at fault. Bush didn't have to bailout Wall St, and Obama didn't have to bail out GM. How can we say we live in a free market when companies that intentionally flout the rules and play high stakes casino with other people's money get saved by the government?

I constantly see "conservatives" on here and other places bemoan "socialism" and call for "personal responsibility" and call for the end of "welfare." Yet when the topic of corporate welfare and bailouts is brought up they have very little to say. Look I don't like anyone who cheats the welfare system, I think at some point they need to be cracked down on. But they're small potatoes at this point. Until some of the crooked banksters, along with their enablers in government, see the inside of a jail cell it's a waste of resources to go after Joe Blow gaming the system for a 100 extra bucks a month. It's a joke that so many demonize the poor for taking government money yet idealize "jobs creators" who take in more from the government dole than any welfare mooch could ever dream of.

It's Philly. Are you sure its a protest and not a bunch of people robbing a 7-11?

For starters, its given half witted idiots like George Clooney and Angelina Jolie the bright idea that because people pay money to see them in movies, they should somehow have the ability to shape US and global policy.
