Yes you are.

We, as American citizens, have a Constitution as the law of the land.

If you want another system, it's socialism.

Capitalism is boss. Never forget that!

What a sad, ranting response. Now you've moved from "they want to make everyone equal," to just general blather about class warfare. Get a grip. You're not going over anyone's head. This is watered down Glenn Beck material, and I've heard it before from 17 year old counter protesters who had smarter arguments than you.

Wait, so am I a socialist or a communist? Do you realize there's a difference between the two? You realize that Social Democracy is still fundamentally capitalist? You realize that most of the protesters are reformists rather than revolutionaries? Of course you don't.

So... wanting any amount of something automatically means that you want as much of it as possible, then?

PS: Also, putting a "me" in someone else's argument is a good tactic for making it sound more unsympathetic than it would otherwise. If you put something in the abstract, say... like "tax those who have more and give it to those who have less" then it sounds waaay cooler and has more of a nice Robin Hood appeal to it. Plus, it's usually a more accurate description of the position, since the speaker usually wouldn't be the primary beneficiary of whatever policy he's talking about.

LOL. Your claim to fame is yelling at 17yo counter protestors. Congrats.

Nah.

Second of all, no one is asking for everyone to be taxed down to the same level. That's why I asked whether you understand how marginal tax rates work. Raising the taxes on the wealthy won't bring them down to the middle class, it just will make them less exorbitantly wealthy.

Making our society more equitable does not equal complete equality.
Asking the poorest 47% to pay SOMETHING will not make them any more poor.

Take $5 dollars a week.

Who said anything about yelling at anyone? I didn't shout at anyone, and we actually ended the conversation by recognizing that we had common ground, and that maybe the Occupy movement was more sensible than he thought, since conversations in person tend to be more amicable than the flame-fests we have here on the internet.

So basically, another fabrication from KUChief. Good stuff.

Yeah, bob, once we kill off the top 1% we just step down to the group just below them and so on down the line.
