If Moore was a legit liberal/ socialist...and he REALLY sympathized with the OWS movement...then he would do what he CLAIMS to believe we should all do....distribute HIS wealth among the so-called 'NEEDY'. But the truth of the matter is this....Moore is a PHONY. Moore believes the the REST OF US should share the wealth...not him.
Same goes for Susan Sarandon, Alec Baldwin, Bill Maher and the rest of the Hollywood clowns who like to voice their opinions on how we need to share what we have...but sure as hell aren't opening up their wallets to put their money where their big fat mouths are.
I have no respect for people like Moore....who do nothing but complain and ***** about conservatives and big business, and who have gotten RICH off of the system that they complain about...and then do absolutely NOTHING to show us that they are true to their convictions.
They should either pony up with some dough....or just shut the he11 up and go away.
Is this thread a joke? Michael Moore's house is valued below 1 million.
Check out these mansions of Bank CEOs and Wall street executives (who by the way benefited from taxpayer funded bailouts)! These mansions are valued at 50 to 75 million!
I was surprised that it is under a million. I live in Fairfax, Va. Million dollar homes are a dime a dozen. My home is half the value of Moore's and I'm not rich by far.

Fairfax, Arlington, Vienna, and Alexandria are wayyyyyy overpriced based on fundamentals. I hope you did not buy recently. The FedGov bubble is going to burst hard on that area and if you think the decline of places in FL and Vegas were bad, just wait...
MM's mansion has a tax assessment of $1M. There is no way it is only worth that much, just based on the location and size, even if it's in miserable Michigan.
Oh yeah, can anyone spot a solar panel or windmill on the property? What is the very large home's carbon footprint, especially in such a cold climate?
MM would still be able to afford a mansion if his taxes went up a few percentage points to pay for the programs for which he advocates. So would the rest of the wealthy.

I'm also noticing that his tax rate is pretty low relative to the size and location of the house, likely based on the ultra low tax assessment value. Why isn't he interested in paying his fair share? Do government apologists get a 50% off property tax coupon?
Oh geez, people. The point is that Michael Moore has done well for himself, yet has not forgotten where he came from. I guess if he lived in this house and was a Republican turning a blind eye to the raping of all American's, he'd be considered a hero in your eyes? Unbelievable.
IMO, all the stupid hypocrites in Hollyweird only care really about themselves and it shows. They constantly preach this liberal agenda yet look at everything in their lives that is just absolutely hypocritical.
None of them do much to try and bring movie prices down, concert prices down, etc yet they bash others who are wealthy and claim to look out for and care for those who have nothing or struggle.
And dont get me started on how much energy they use, how much pollution they contribute. Who the hell are they to start preaching to anyone about this with their huge mansions made for a family of 25 but house only themselves, a dozen or so heavily polluting cars, private jets, etc

I bought many years ago, long before the rise of home prices. Having lived in all three areas of DC for 54 years, no bubble will burst in my life time. Most in my area are dual income both bringing in 6 figures each from both private and public work. The area is expanding not contracting in job growth along with a healthy housing market, that did see a decline in price during the burst, which placed my house half the cost of Moores. I live just blocks from the new National Geospatial Intelligence Agency. The largest single building complex in the DC area since the Pentagon.
That house is straining the environment because it's so big.
