you mean ghetto black culture is in a league of its own. but, since that is what the media likes to portray, that is what people think is the norm.
Ghetto black culture is the dominant culture in Black America. Many of the kids in the middle class area I live mimic it. A few even engaging in robberies, drug dealing and the like. What's sad is I know their parents and they are good people but some get it in their heads that to be black is to be a thug.
I mean they have had a rash of flash mobs in the neighboring county. All were Black and we are nottalking the inner city either.
lets see, 2 parent households, kids in school, law abiding families, most all the children go off to college, many with academic scholarships etc... the problem is you see your surroundings and want to believe your small segment is indicative of a whole, which is not the case.
Actually, posts like this feed into white racist stereotypes. Out of the hundreds (possibly thousands) of black people in the MOA shopping and minding their own business, there were a handful of idiots throwing chairs and fighting. Most of the other shoppers, were either trying to get out of the way and a handful appeared to be trying to break up the fight. People who look at situations like this and see it as an indictment against black people or "urban youth black male culture" (whatever that is) don't really need a reason to hold racist views.

Exactly what I was going to say. 5-6 white teenagers acting a fool in public is just kids being kids, 5-6 black teenagers acting a fool is a riot, a dangerous flash mob, and proof that "black culture" is pathological.
Don't dismiss even "a handful". That is NO WAY to behave in a mall especially when throwing furniture could hurt someone.
Regardless of their color no one should have to worry about stuff like this happening if they go to a public place. The police need to crack down hard on these teens causing trouble with violence in public places. Don't let this stuff go viral on twitter/facebook where more want to do it.

Did the OP actually read the article? There were over 200 rioters, not 5-6. That you would even suggest that the rap community does not have a history of attracting violent crime would be completely disengeneous.
I'll wait for you to post links of rioters at symphonies, choral ensembles, barbershop quartets, bluegrass concerts, and gospel or American Jazz concerts. The rap community has fostered a culture of violence and misogyny which is completely indefensible.

e: and dude you should know that a lot of PG County (mostly the parts next to DC) is pretty damn poor. you probably won't see this behavior in Bowie Town Center, whereas Largo Town Center (which isn't even in a bad part of the county but it's closer to them than Bowie) had to institute curfews because the yoof were getting into fights and stabbin' each other.

Now the areas near the DC line are poor but compare the school performance of outside the Beltway communities to its similar socioeconomic peers in Northern Virginia and other parts of Maryland. The test scores lag there as well. Crime while not epedemic compares poorly to similar situated socioeconomic neighborhoods in Northern Virginia and the rest of Maryland.

of course middle class black areas are not immune to it, and neither are lower class and middle class whites.
Whites riot too; look at the Canadian "youfs" in Vancouver when their freaking hockey team lost. Look at the bad behavior, including assault, vandalism and arson that has characterized the mostly white Occupy movement.
