How often do YOU go about proving the negative? When you make claims, it is your responsibility to prove it.

Do these fictional people who can't get an ID have telephones?

I propose that we have a mobile DMV registrar that makes house calls. You call them, they come over to the home of this mythical bedridden democrat voter, get some papers signed, and then mail them the ID.

Anyone object to this?

Holder is dumb as rocks and probably the most incompetent AG we've seen in decades.

I'll say this the photo of Holder in the linked article is not a good one though.

Welcome to the United States Department of Justice

I didn't see anything in that speech that confirms the OP's claims.

Let's see: the OP claims that Eric Holder made certain statements.

The OP is now challenged to demonstrate that he made those statements.

And now you're saying that the existence of evidence to support the claim that he made those statements is irrelevant.

How do you expect to engage in debate if the existence or nonexistence of facts and evidence will make no difference?

OK I'll play your game.

Prove the affirmative case that there is this widespread inability for "the poor" to get an ID.

And how do these mythical people get to the polling places if they don't have a car?

I think not being able to get to the polling place is an obstacle to voting.

Great post.

Yes, yes. 50 years ago the Southern Democrats were racists. Since Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act, those former Democrats (i.e. Strom Thurmond, Jesse Helms, Mills Godwin) switched to the Republicans.

Their main conviction was strong conservatism and felt more at home with the Republicans. But that's all a side-track.
1- Those poor people who don't have cars somehow find their way to the voting booth without voter ID. What difference will it make with voter ID? It's NOT an obstacle.

How about during the next election when they show up to vote - photograph them there - then it's done.

2- Goes back to the 1800's. Also, I don't see how you miss Grand Wizard Bob Byrd in your roster. Truth? People from both parties have racists. No party has a corner on the market. Individuals are racists - not parties.

Doesn't need to be poor. But my 100 year old grandma couldn't have gotten a Voter ID three years ago (we presented her birth certificate three years ago as a birthday gift).

But see, if you want to complain about people telling you that voter ID are a nuisance, you ought to start explaining, with evidence, why you think they are necessary... as in your claims about fraud. That ain't my game, that is exclusively yours and people like you.
