Not everyone agrees with you. There are a few million Americans that classify themselves as agnostics, atheists, or apathists, that do not relate to any "Gods" in any way. Therefore, saying "He is real and we all know it" is not true. These people are productive members of society. I've never heard of any of them eating their young either.

Yes. However I did log ago find a connection between East and West. A Jesuit priest in Japan said that while we understand Christ the man we do not all understand what he called "The Christ Consciousness". Later i saw that the Buddhist made the same connection Between Buddha and "Bushin" which would translate literally as "The Heart of Buddha". Do we not have Christ of Sacred Heart? Interesting don't you think?

IMO, a load of BS, but you are entitled to believe what you wish.

Of course, it is my opinion (many of which I prefer to keep to self).

Well, it has been a popular perception...

"This human world of ours would be inconceivable without the practical existence of a religious belief. The great masses of a nation are not composed of philosophers. For the masses of the people, especially faith is absolutely the only basis of a moral outlook on life."
- Adolf Hitler, Mein Kempf (Vol I, Chapter 10)

I appreciate this approach, however...

"Religion has two principal enemies, fanaticism and infidelity, or that which is called atheism. The first requires to be combated by reason and morality, the other by natural philosophy."
- Thomas Paine, 1798

How about stop trying to cast a blanket over every single person on the planet so as to promote your own silly personal agenda? Some of us, myself included, do not worship a God, we do not believe in the supernatural, and we do not believe in some sort of divinely written moral code. Somehow, through all of this, I have managed to become a productive member of society. I don't kill, rape, murder, torture, steal; I pay my taxes and have car insurance and I do not knowingly commit illegal acts.

Thus, even if there were a divinely written moral code, it wouldn't matter what anyone believed because that morality would be synonymous with everyone. This is clearly at odds with reality considering the vast differences in cultural acceptances of what is right and wrong (Abuse of women in the Middle East, for example); why such strong statistical evidence factors crime in with education, gross wages, and positive familial support rather than belief in superstitious nonsense.

Because the Catholic Church stands for the oppression of women, and providing contraception runs counter to that goal.

That phrase was coined a LONG time ago and times have changed. During that time, Christianity was the way of life. Modern times have brought about different ways of living. I'm not saying that I agree with those alternative beliefs, but even as a Christian, I can accept reality and reality is that the U.S. hasn't eliminated that phrase from our currency, but that doesn't mean that we are a country that is under ONE god.
