The message? That life was better when men could treat women as second-class citizens, controlling them and forcing them into specific social roles. Life is simpler when you persuade 50% of the population that they don't have the right to challenge your authority. But when 50% of the population says you don't have the right to BE the authority, then life becomes a lot more difficult.

Provide proof from an unbiased sorce (i.e.: Not catholic, scientific study) that contraception is overly negative for people to take.

Also, seriously, prudes need to get over sex. It's not that big of a deal. Seriously. Penis goes into vagina. Repeat until orgasm. It's enjoyable. Sometimes results in babies. That's it. Nothing more, nothing less, no need to add anything to it.

The article itself cites non-Catholic peer-reviewed sources of data. Perhaps you can do your own homework?

No it quote mines which is different from citing. Citing actually tells you the study or article it's referring to. Quote mining takes an out of context quote in which to try to prove a point with it.

Which article are you commenting on ? What you are posting certainly isn't the OP link.

One could bypass this whole issue of "chemical contraception" by using condoms if one is worried about the long term effects of chemicals in the body.

I'm not seeing it.

I'm seeing one link to an outside forum where women think their breast cancer was caused by birth control, and a lawsuit against a company because some people (probably a minority of the actual users) experienced side effects, which all drugs do have negative side effects. Some more severe than others, people are going to react differently to a drug.

Now maybe I misspoke, but let me clarify:

Please. Provide a source that proves that a majority of women have more negative consequences than positive due to use of birth control.

Preferably a source that doesn't go on to say women have a false sense of freedom or birth control dissolves marriages, which both are complete and utter horse crap.

Oh, that's hilarious. If I were as cynical about physicians as you are about Catholics, I would point out that physicians have serious financial and economic interests in both big pharma profits and in maintaining the sexual revolution. Both of these work to their advantage.

But that wouldn't be fair, now, would it? It is certainly possible for a physician to be scientifically objective, just as it is for a Catholic.

We Catholics get bombarded with pro-contraception propaganda constantly. It's everywhere you turn in this society. We've been soaking in it since middle school. By contrast, your side never has to confront facts or arguments that might challenge your worldview. Even when given the opportunity, you refuse. Time to realize that Catholics aren't the only ones with dogma on this subject.
