I'm all about organic. I'm really into the whole natural remedy thing, have been since I was a kid. I really don't see a problem with this guy selling his products. IOM because the gov. isn't collecting money from this "business" they don't like it. Its been that way for a long time, and I think its time for a change.

They charged him for operating without a license. Not that his food was contaminated, not that people got sick, but that he didn't pay for and get a license.

Well, that just came up on this thread after a long discussion about food safety, which you participated in as well.

So he didn't have a license? I guess he should have had one! I don't have much sympathy.

I don't know what you'd call it. He was selling to private clubs. Should one not need a license for that?

No, you don't need a license for that.
It's all in the story in the link in post #1

Private club means the members own a percentage of the cow.
So that milk is considered their milk, not a retail sale of milk.

The article does not mention "cow shares" at all. It is not clear what all this guy is selling to a private club. The article mentions "milk and other farm products".

He runs the private club. That is how they operate and it's not just for milk.
