The "media" was glacial when it came to picking up this story. The first thread on this was at the very least 2-3 days before any of he national media picked up on the story and at least a day after the family's first public call for Zimmerman's arrest. Even the Orlando Sentinel (a Tribune owned paper) had little information on the shooting.

Are you playing devil's advocate or are you asking this seriously? Because if you are serious, you are suggesting that there is nothing wrong with pursuing someone - black / white, male /female, adult/child, then giving that person reason to believe that you are going to cause him/her harm, and when he/she fights back to save his/her life, you shoot to kill and claim "self-defense."
Cripes the guy was not even on his own property or near his house.
And I reiterate that in this case there is evidence to support the fact that the boy screamed after one what was fired. Even if I give you "self-defense" because that pile of blubber got way in over his head, what was the justification for the second shot?
