I think its fundamentally flawed in viewing Marxism outside the context of the 19th century and its brutal factory conditions. Its easy to poke fun at it here in the West in the 21st century that has in fact implemented many elements that would fall under Marxism like free public education and abolition of child labor. The enemy of what he saw of Capitalism was far more virulent.
You do realize the US funded public education before Marx was born right?
What harm is there in learning a way of doing things that's pretty much never been implemented before?
Considering Mao killed more then Hitler in the name of communism and this is going to get treated as a legitimate alternative to the way things are now even though it has failed everytime it has been tried perhaps? And yes it has been implemented before. The reason why communism will never work is because pure equality is bull**** and goes against human nature. So yes communism has failed before and spectacularly because human beings aren't ants.
You mean that professor who collects a paycheck a couple of times a month?
Yes from tax coffers promoting an ideology that almost caused the US to go to nuclear war over which would've caused armaggedon. Nothing to serious though just millions dead also...not a big deal.

Marxism is oftentimes used a lens of analysis. How do you think a student would implement meaningful Marxism in a semester-long class exactly? Marxism is a theory and as such a lens of analysis.
By a bunch of radicals to try and tarnish the great Satan (USA) since they lost the cold war.

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about.
Quite irrelevant, since communism=/=marxism. That being said, this is correct.
However, on another note, socalism=/=communism either.
It ends up being the same thing with the state controlling everything and no one having any real rights since no one can own anything. I could care less about the theory I'm looking at it when it was practiced.

Not really.

Humans are idiots.
THe theory, if practiced properly, leads to a literal utopia.
Human greed and idiocy, however, makes such a thing impossible.
