This whole hoodie thing took on a life of its own as a convenient symbol to go along with skittles and iced tea. Just as with tm being black, gz didn't even mention a hoodie until he was asked what the person was wearing. He also said a dark or grey sweatshirt, sweats or jeans, and white sneakers. Where's the Million White Sneakers March.

What does "phocv" mean? Oh, okay. "past history of criminal violence"...

I disagree.

I am sorry, but wearing a hoodie hood up into a store is just not necessary and can draw someone to "suspect you".

It is no different than wearing a mask inside.... People will be suspicious.

To say that hoodies in general when fully on don't draw suspicion to someone is just not factual.

Well, maybe I just don't hang out with the paranoics. I don't think a hoodie up is "suspicious". It is plenty different than wearing a mask. One's face is still visible.

Everyone covering their heads with hoodies, ski masks etc etc in a weather conditions and situation that does not warrant it is LOOKING suspicious.
Geraldo Riviera made an excellent point: you don't want your kids to be mistaken for a gangsters don't let them dress like gangsters.

If it were October 31st would you enter a convenience store in a halloween costume with a mask on?

No reason the hoodie couldn't be dropped upoon going inside. It used to be customary for men to remove head gear when entering a building. Still is in the military, where custom and common courtesy last much longer.
