My girlfriend teaches 2nd grade and they went on a field trip. One little boy said he wanted to sit next to his "partner." At first she thought oh little boys chillin. Then she thought about it. She said he didn't "patnas." Like men say that's my patna....he emphasized "Partner." So she went to where they were sitting and these 2nd Grade boys were holding hands.
She said she damn near pulled their arms out of socket. Now she writing up a statement for them to go to counseling or something....
Holy cow - I remember hugging my male friends, too. And we held hands when we walked on the sidewalk. I had no idea that I was gay back then.
To me, that's nothing but a sick mind desperately trying to read something into a situation or behavior. And even if that was "gay" behavior - so what?
Shame on your girlfriend. I'd suggest that she receive some counseling instead.

It's second grade and they are innocent kids still, chill out.

I'm sorry I don't think that is normal male behavior for young boys.

True. It's completely abnormal in an abnormal world. In the real world, greeting somebody with a hug or proudly admiring the fort you just built with arms around each other's shoulders is completely normal.
Alas, sick minds always see something they deem sick in even the most innocent of behaviors.
I would think a typical 2nd grader would be thinking about playing and having fun and not thinking about his Partner.
