If it's such a big issue to the GOP, why didn't they address it during the Eisenhower, Nixon, Reagan or Bush I & II administrations?

"There is no Bush Jr." haha--that's funny. Did you really think we thought that's what his name was? It's shorthand for "the intellectually handicapped one".
On the two occasions when Republicans have controlled both houses of Congress, deficits have declined.

1995-2000...from $250,828 to $133,285

2003-2006...from $595,821 to $500,679

Actually, Democrats are to blame.

When Bush Jr had a Republican House and Senate, deficits declined.

Let me say this again.

Anyone dumber than a dog wants to throw dirt at Obama for the deficit. It's not like when Obama stepped in the oval office the first time, we were a debt free nation. When W. Bush stepped in the oval office the first time, our deficit was at 5 trillion. Once W. Bush left, our deficit was at 12 trillion. Now we wonder where our money went during the W. Bush years.

Perhaps you haven't paid attention what happened for the past 5 years. It's like you were on a mental vacation in the Bahamas.

Government revenue increased after the Reagan tax cuts and the Bush tax cuts. Cutting taxes helps the economy... who in their right mind would cut taxes? Those who want to help the economy!

I will also add that the Democratic-controlled Congress of the 1980s spent, on average, 2.8% more than Reagan asked for and 24.5% more over 8 years. And every budget-balanced Reagan proposed to Congress was declared DOA by Tip O'Neill.

Who really cares who racked up the most debt, Bush or Obama. They are both guilty. So wake up and find someone who is not into deficit spending, pretty simple. But it will never happen because it's already to late. Americans are nothing but a herd of sheep.

Guns and Ammo kids, it just might come in handy in the future.

"Many believe that Obama was the cause for the deficit crisis." Really? Where did you come up with that gem?

Who voted to give Bush the authority and who voted for the funding for the wars on a continual basis?

You are wrong.

2006, 2007 and 2008 were the 3 biggest years in history for federal income tax revenue. That's right under George Bush the feds took in more in taxes than any president in history

W. Bush didn't cause the recession. The ones who bought homes and had to default on their mortgages were to blame. Banks failed so W. Bush had to bail them out or an economic collapse would occur.

Lowering taxes and interest rates is the only way to spur the economy. This puts more $$$ in everyone's pocket and enables them to spend more.

I have no degree in economics and no background but I have the slightest idea. Maybe I should become president. hahaha.
